Activities & Agenda

· Pre-Event Activity (D-1)

- The 12thSeoul Int’l Conference on Electricity Market (SICEM 2016)

International conference forthe current topics on the electricity market & system operation is to be held a day before the main event,

with professionals from home and abroad participating

- The delegates of the APER Forumare eligible and invitedto attend this conference

· APER Forum Main Event–1stDay(D-Day)

- Theme 1 : Overview of the energy industry (electricity, gas, etc.) and regulatoryframework for each participating countries

· APER Forum Main Event–2ndDay(D+1):Choose one or more.

- Theme 2: Status of the restructuring on the energy market’s structure and competitive framework, including retail side

- Theme 3 : Policies and regulatory initiatives for transitioning to low-carbon economy, including distributed generation & renewables

- Theme 4 : Efforts to increase market flexibility & efficiency

Field Trip & Cultural Tour

· FieldTrip in the vicinity ofSeoul–3rdDay (D+2)

- Yeongheung Thermal Power Station – a large scale power plant located close to Seoul

- SihwaTidal Power Station – a renewable power plant located on a large reclaimed land area along the western coast

- The trip will pass through Songdo International City in Incheon - a newly built city poised for international trade

· Cultural Performance / City Tour: Provided on a voluntary basis

- Available in theevening hoursduring the D+1 and D+2days

- Provides a chance for the delegates to experience the Korean culture and key insights to Seoul

Timetable & Deadlines

· Administrative contact update & verification – in February

· New website for 2016 APER Forum online – by March 31st

· E-mail meeting with administrative contacts – in March

· Deadline for submitting presentation title & presenter name – June 30th

· Deadline for finalizing the attending delegates – July 29th

· Deadline for submitting presentation drafts – August 26th
